THE
B.O.Y.A. RELIES ON THE SUPPORT OF THE LOCAL CHURCHES IN THE BALKANS
AND
THE LOVE OF THE PEOPLE OF GOD...
In
order to plan her activities, the B.O.Y.A. is always seeking for advice
and blessing of the local Orthodox Churches of the Balkans:
ECUMENICAL
PATRIARCHATE:
His All- Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomeos has blessed the
activities of the Association through
many warm messages. In February 1998 the B.O.Y.A. Board met His Holiness
and a session was hosted in the Patriarchal buildings.
SERBIA:
In 1994, His Holiness Patriarch of the Serbs Pavle, received a representation
of the B.O.Y.A. In 1996, with a proposal of His Eminence Bishop from Herzegovina
Atanasije (Jevtic), the Holy Synod of the Church attributed to the B.O.Y.A.
the order of St. Sava for spiritual and material assistance to the people
of Serbia.
ROMANIA:
His Beatitude Patriarch Theoctist blessed the
important 1st General Assembly held in Neamtz and hosted by the
Holy Diocese of Moldavia and Bucovina. He received a representation of
the BOYA in 1997
BULGARIA:
Hosted many important events organised by the B.O.Y.A., under the blessing
of His Beatitude Patriarch Maxim and the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox
Church. Among them the Preparatory Committee of 1993 and the 1st Festival
of the B.O.Y.A.
CHURCH
OF GREECE:
The foundation and first steps of the Association are largely due to the
active support of His Beatitude the late Archbishop of Athens and Whole
Greece Seraphim, who blessed and put under His Auspices the Conference
of Penteli in 1992. In 1993, a common event on the Balkans was organised
by the Holy Archdiocese, its Youth Foundation and the BOYA. In 1998, His
Beatitude Archbishop Christodoulos blessed the BOYA Festival and in the
year 2000, renewed in written the Blessing of the Church of Greece.
ALBANIA:
With the blessing of His Beatitude
Archbishop Anastasios, the Orthodox Youth of Albania SYNDESMOS
is participating in the activities of the B.O.Y.A.
The
B.O.Y.A. is an international organisation,
independent of any international network.
The possibility of the B.O.Y.A. to exist and fulfil its programmes is
due
to the love of thousands small donors,
who are continuously informed and support her programmes.
