A graphical MUD. I believe this MUD is made by the AD&D
people and is only available on America On-Line.
- Shadow of Yserbius:
Shadow of Yserbius is/was a online multi-player game on Sierra Online's
Imagination Network. It was first person, semi-three dimentional, basicly
made up of squares where you could turn, etc. Not fluid graphics like Doom.

- Chaco Multi-Media MUD client "Pueblo"
A 3D, rendered graphical client for MUD's. Uses VRML.
- AmigaMUD
Full graphics, sound, mouse input, online building, etc. is
not setup to handle telnet connections, only modem ones. The system
and 100+ pages of documentation, along with 30,000 lines of sources to
the scenario, is available on the "Aminet" ftp sites (e.g. wuarchive).
Latest version is V0.9, with V1.0 coming as soon as possible.

There are now more multiplayer games than I can keep up with but here are a few links.

- Mpath Corporate Home Page It seems to be some type of extension to WWW to allow multiplayer gaming.
- TEN Home Page A gaming network.
- The Playing Fields A gaming network.
- Marathon A DOOM like game for the Mac which supports multi-player mode.
- DOOM/Heretic/Hexen/Quake
DOOM , Heretic and Hexen allow for two players over a modem and up to
four players by calling special dial up commercial networks. Hexen allows for three different character classes.
- DWANGO
A network for playing multiplayer DOOM which has dialups located in many cities.
- The new Id game, Quake will be
client/server based. It will support many more players (64?)
- KALI
This is a software program that enables you to play
multi-player games over the internet with either a direct link or a modem.
The following games work with it: Doom, Heretic, Descent, Virtual Pool,
Rise of the Triad, Terminal Velocity, Warcraft, PC Bolo. It should work
with any other game designed for multiple players using IPX networks. It
seems to convert IPX info to TCP/IP info.

- Worlds Away on CompuServe
A graphical chat room.
- Worlds Chat from Worlds Inc
A 3D graphical chat room. Now Alpha World which allows building.
- The Palace
A graphical chat room with some Mud like features. An interface somewhat like the WWW.
Rumors
- Microsoft is working on VChat apparently a graphical chat room.
- Second Nature: I could not find out what this is.
