       CpuCOLD... is DOS(*) CPU power management utility

(*) CpuCOLD works only on plain old DOS (and is neither necessary nor intended to cool native Windows - see www.cpuidle.de for that). Use it if you have legacy MS-DOS application running on new machine (under MS-DOS or its clone).

Experimental temperature measurement (Intel P4/2.4/FSB800, PC DOS)

       How does it works? CpuCOLD lowers processor temperature without any additional fans by executing special power-saving instructions ("halting"). No additional execution time for halting is needed, and the CPU will not run slower.
