Adam Duritz was born in Baltimore, MD. At the time of the cover story in Musician magazine (May 1994), he was 29. The family lived in Boston, Dallas and Denver before settling in the San Francisco area. He graduated high school in Oakland and attended UC Davis for at least his freshman year and then transferred to the University of California at Berkeley.
